Karen joined the Treaty Team in 2002 and carried out her training with us while studying in UCD. Karen graduated from UCD in 2006 and remained at Treaty before leaving for Australia for one year, where she gained valuable experience working in a referral hospital in Sydney. Karen returned to Treaty and began a postgraduate diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy in 2010 at Harper Adams University and travelled over and back to the UK for two years before qualifying in 2012. Karen also has a certificate in small animal hydrotherapy, and has spent the last few years working between Cork, Limerick & Galway as a hydrotherapist and physiotherapist. Karen and her husband, John, got married this year and they live in Dooradoyle with their 3 rescue dogs- Lucy, Toby and Ted and two rescue cats, Jacob and Puck, who Karen hand reared from just a day old. Karen and John enjoy spending time with their animals but also love to travel. Karen also enjoys horse riding and has two horses, Cali and Molly. Veterinary Physiotherapy has proven to be hugely beneficial to our patients at Treaty, particularly elderly pets and those recovering from orthopaedic surgery. Karen is available for Physiotherapy appointments in our Limerick Clinic
